In-person tuition, our specialism since 2007
If you are someone who prefers face-to-face teaching, you'll be glad to know that Martin offers in-depth and focused tuition at his North Yorkshire teaching studio. The studio is conveniently located just off the junction of the A66/A1, and you can receive guidance at your easel and personal feedback on your painting skills. Each face-to-face course details what you need to bring along so you can come prepared and make the most of your learning experience.

Who's it for?
In-person classes are ideal if you want face-to-face guidance, at your easel intervention and some personalised critique on your course painting with Martin. They are also brilliant if you love a studio experience and enjoy meeting new people.
Member Extras
In-person classes often include some specialist materials to use for and on the course as detailed in the specific course materials lists to enable you to try out some of the specialist tuition on offer.
What's Included
Our in-person painting classes include the use of a workstation (easel and palette), structured instruction, individual and group critiques of your course paintings, along with refreshments (tea and coffee). Please note that meals, accommodation, and painting materials are not included in the class fee.
What's Involved?
The course will run from 10 am to 4 pm, with a lunch break of one hour. To participate in the course, you will have to bring the specified materials. It is necessary to have a car or pre-booked taxi to reach the studios. There are several budget-friendly hotels located in and around Scotch Corner, which is just five minutes away from the studio.
